Elite Air Adds Fourth Florida-Based Legacy

Elite Air has added a fourth Legacy to its charter fleet, another 650 to be based at St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport (PIE). Elite Air now has Legacy 600s based at SFB and PIE and two 650s at PIE.

“Right now, we are chartering heavy jets at maximum capacity for our owners,” said Elite Air CEO Gray Gibbs, a pilot who’s had his own Legacy type rating for 15 years. “Another charter-friendly Legacy fits our offerings perfectly.”

The Legacy 650 can transport up to 13 passengers almost 3,500 miles, which can take them from New York to London or Los Angeles to Honolulu. The heavy jet features a fully enclosed lavatory and full-service galley, along with its three distinct passenger areas for best-in-class privacy. The Legacy 600 series is one of the most cost-effective charter platforms in the heavy jet class.

The charter-friendly Legacy 650 newest to the Elite Air certificate features complimentary domestic wireless internet, a cabin attendant, AirShow, a CD Player, a DVD Player, microwave and convection ovens, and an espresso maker. It was manufactured in 2014 and refurbished a year later.

“This beautiful aircraft is still a hidden gem on our certificate,” Elite Air President AJ Becker said. “But charter customers are going to start filling it fast.”
