Legendary G-V Joins Elite Air Charter Certificate

Elite Air has added to its charter fleet a Gulfstream Aerospace G-V, the first long-range Gulfstream to join the company’s certificate in several years.

“Everyone knows the G-V—and for good reason,” Elite Air President AJ Becker said. “It’s a beautiful airplane and offers top-of-the-line performance.”

The G-V heavy class business jet flies at up to Mach 0.885 and 51,000 feet of altitude and has a 6,500-nautical mile range, capable of carrying passengers for nearly 14.5 hours. The aircraft’s stand-up cabin measures 43.92 feet long, 5.25 feet wide and 6.17 high, and it is operated around the world for corporate, government, royal and VIP transport.

The G-V on the Elite Air certificate is based in Florida at the Orlando International Airport and under charter friendly ownership. The aircraft, refurbished inside and out with meticulous attention to detail in 2016 by its previous Fortune 500 company owner, is configured for 13 passengers and offers free wireless internet access. It will be available for charter in mid-August.

“We’re extremely excited about offering another beautiful heavy jet to our customers, who increasingly want spacious cabins and high-end amenities,” Becker said.

Elite Air’s G-V is crewed by Captain Ricardo Ortega and First Officer Kevin Brockett, as well as cabin hosts Jazzmine Dougherty or Kimberly Pelaez.

“This is a great crew and aircraft,” Elite Air CEO Gray Gibbs said. “We’ve managed several Gulfstreams over the years, so we know the airframe, but this is the most attractive Gulfstream charter option we’ve seen in some time.”
