Elite Air will now be offering free wireless internet access on all flights in its Challenger 300, thanks to an arrangement with the aircraft’s owner.
Elite Air placed the new Challenger on its certificate earlier this year, and the Orlando-based aircraft is currently available for charter. Elite Air director of sales AJ Becker said in-flight wi-fi is shaping up to be the next big thing in luxury aircraft charter.
“I am seeing more and more requests from independent customers and brokers alike who demand free internet,” Becker said. “It makes this already phenomenal charter aircraft even more desirable.”
The wireless access is provided through Gogo LLC, which delivers wi- fi to more than 6,000 aircraft, including business jets and planes operated by AirTran Airways, Delta Air Lines, Virgin America, Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, United Airlines, US Airways and Frontier Airlines. Elite Air assisted Gogo last year in purchasing a Challenger 600 the company uses to test its equipment and for research and development.
