Elite Air Marks Decade of ARGUS Platinum Rating

Elite Air recently completed another Argus audit and has once again retained its platinum rating. The aircraft management and charter company has now held the coveted platinum status for 10 years.

Elite Air undergoes biannual audits by Argus International Inc., an aviation services company providing a proprietary aircraft charter operator rating and due diligence program. To establish its charter company rating system, Argus extracts, filters and vets data on operators around the world. The company uses a proprietary algorithm to score the gathered data, taking into account historical safety ratings, pilot background checks and on-site safety audits.

Argus categorizes each charter operation it analyzes in one of five categories: not rated, does not qualify, gold, gold-plus and platinum. While Argus does not divulge the specific requirements for achieving platinum status, only 141 operators had achieved the rating as of Aug. 3. Eight charter companies were rated gold-plus on the same date, and 422 operators were rated gold.

To maintain its platinum status, Elite Air keeps comprehensive pilot and safety data, continuously updates its emergency response plan and safety management system, and passes Argus’ regular on-site audits with no fault findings or corrections required.
